The Zeta Kappa Chapter is excited to recognize exceptional educators through the Outstanding Educator of the Year award. This award celebrates those who demonstrate outstanding contributions to education, student success, and community involvement. This process outlines how to nominate a deserving educator and ensures a fair and transparent selection process.

Nomination Period: October 23, 2025 – November 20, 2025
Nomination Submission Deadline: November 20, 2025, by 5:00 PM (MST)
Announcement of Awardee: November 30, 2025
Nomination Process
1. Eligibility
All educators currently employed in a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade teaching role within Metro Phoenix area are eligible for nomination.
Nominees must demonstrate excellence in teaching, innovation in their methods, commitment to student success, and significant involvement in the community.
2. Nomination Submission
Nominations will only be accepted through the electronic submission form below.
The nomination form link will be available on the Zeta Kappa Chapter’s social media platforms starting October 23, 2025.
3. Information Required
To nominate an educator, please provide the following:
Nominee’s Information: Name, email address, phone number, and school/organization.
Accomplishments: A brief description (max 500 words) outlining why the nominee deserves the award, highlighting their achievements and impact in education.
Supporting Documentation: A photo of the nominee for recognition purposes.
4. Promotion
Nominations will be actively promoted through social media posts and reminders during the nomination period to encourage broad participation.
5. Selection Committee
A committee of Zeta Kappa Chapter members will review all submitted nominations. They will evaluate nominees based on:
Contributions to education
Impact on students
Overall dedication to the teaching profession
6. Announcement
The recipient of the Outstanding Educator of the Year award will be announced on social media and honored at the annual Emerald Ball. The social media announcement will include the awardee’s photo and a brief description of their accomplishments.
7. Award
The Outstanding Educator of the Year will receive a $50 gift card as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work in shaping the future of our students and honored with an award.
